Birth Story:
(READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!)
I won't get too detailed here on a public blog, but several people have asked for a birth story. So here it is:
Thursday night around 10 I started having contractions. They were about 5 minutes apart so we decided to go in. Got to the hospital, got checked and was at a 4, but they said the baby was still pretty high up, so go walk for an hour. So we walked around Walmart from 12-1 am (FUN!) and then went back, but no progress, so they sent us home. By then it was 3 am. So we got home and the second I stepped in the door I had a really bad contraction (the kind that bring tears to your eyes). I tried to sleep through them for a few hours, but after waking up every five minutes crying I decided it was time to go back to the hospital (I know, third time's the charm right?) So at 5 am, we call poor Mom and drag her back to the house (AGAIN!) We got to the hospital, I was at a 5 and 100 % effaced, so they FINALLY admitted me! (told ya so Kaiser!) By the time they got me in the delivery room about 30 minutes later I was at an 8 and crying very badly for the epidural! I kept saying, "I told you I go really fast so get me the epidural soon!" No one ever listens to me! So by the time I got the epidural I was at a 10, but I had to lay flat and wait for the antibiotics to kick in because I was positive for Group B Strep. So I had to lay at a 10 with the baby ready to be born for 4 hours. Fun! Also, I was so dilated when they gave me the epidural that they had to give me something else (can't remember what it's called) that completely numbed my legs, but not anything else, so then they gave me the epidural and that helped a little more! So at 11 am they finally let me push and 2 pushes later, Amelie was born!!! Phew! She came out screaming!!! The doctor that delivered her said she was the loudest baby he had heard in a long time! THE END!

Still Here!
Well, I'm still here. 2 weeks past my "false alarm" and no baby! It's been a rough wait! Thinking that you're so close 2 weeks ago and now being 3 days from my due date? But I've been able to get a lot done with these extra weeks. It's been eventful: Paul had strep throat for about 2 weeks (finally better officially as of today!) My car broke down (fixed), I spent quality time with my kids, got some much needed shopping done (by myself), made some new FHE games, and had time to sit and think/worry. I think it was a little blessing in disguise really. A little reminder to get my rear end in gear and do those things I've been meaning to do before baby comes! Well, I'm done now, can I have the baby yet? I'll let you know!

Hi, I'm Jane and I'm a Mormon...
I've been reading the book, "I am a Mother" by Jane Clayson Johnson. I highly recommend it! I'm not a third of the way through and it's already made me cry! And laugh a lot. Click on the image or here to watch a quick video about her life as a mother.
PS-No baby yet!!!

The Other, Other Hunts...
My Sister Brandi was kind enough to let me photograph her family. We've been trying to get family pictures for a while and now that I'm just about in labor I figured I'd better get it done! I thought their outfits were so cute! I want to steal them! I thought they turned out pretty cute. It helps to have cute subjects!
She is such a Ham! But a cute Ham!
Lady's Man!
He actually did really well the whole time for a two year old! I was so impressed!
This is our new house...Just kidding, I wish!
So cute!!!

False Alarm!
Ok, so last night (or this morning) around 1 am I had been having strong contractions about 5 mins apart for 3 hours, so we went to the hospital. I was dilated to a 2 1/2 so they admitted me, hooked me up to the the IV, got 8 hours of antibiotics for Group B Strep and I was already to go! Then my contractions miraculously stopped! I was dilated to a 3, and got sent home at 10 am! Ugh! No fun! So a bunch of holes in my arm, 1 sleepless night, and no baby!!! Better luck next time!
