Rolly Poly Amelie

She started rolling around 2 months old or so, but now she's doing it constantly. No more tummy time for this girl! Every time I put her down she's rolling!

Christmas...

We had a pretty busy Christmas season this year. We decided to make a super-quick trip to Disneyland before passes expired and give a quick hello to Mickey and the gang! It was fun, but rained the entire time! We were cold and wet! Abbi rode Space Mountain for the first time! After we rode she said, "That was fun! Let's NOT do that forever!" She was pretty much afraid to ride anything after that. I guess I've scarred her for life! Early Christmas Eve we had a special visitor (Old St. Nick). Abbi was so excited! Jack eventually warmed up to him, and Amelie had no idea why she was being handed to some strange old man who was dressed way too warm for California winters!

It was a special year for Abbi. She got her American Girl Doll. Every girl in the family has one (even me) so this year was her turn. She got Felicity. She was so excited. Can you tell by her face?

The rest of the evening was spent with Paul's extended family. Abbi and Jack were BOTH angels and Amelie was Baby Jesus this year. Even though there were like 3 other babies there! But she was the smallest and the sleepiest. She was such a good baby Jesus and slept through most of it. We had another special visitor that night (I like to call him YOUNG St. Nick). Do you recognize that Santa? Jackson kind of gave it away when he sat on Santa's lap and said excitedly, "Oh, Daddy Santa!!!" just like a light bulb went off in his head. Hopefully that won't ruin Santa for him.
Christmas Day we just relaxed and pigged out! Good times. Here are some pictures from the last few weeks:

This is What my Boy got for Christmas...

Poor buddy tried to play with a Grandfather clock and it, of course, fell over on him. He got a good slice on the forehead and a huge bruise on his arm. My poor baby boy! He was screaming pretty good. That is the second time that clock has fallen on this kid! This picture was taken a few hours after the fact. It looked even worse before with blood all over!

We didn't want anyone to accidentally sit on Amelie while she took a nap on the couch so we put up a sign so everyone could see her. Great parents huh? Can you tell she's been sat on before?

So this is my son (right) having a tea party with his cousin Carter, along with 2 American Girl dolls that belong to their sisters. Looks like the girls' tea party got taken over!

Abbi's First Christmas Performance

We attended a large gathering of Paul's extended family on Christmas Eve. We all had a great time. There was yummy food, a nativity performance, a very special Santa Claus (more on that later), and a talent show! Abbi decided to spontaneously sign up! I know I've already posted her singing this, but I thought it was so cute in public with everyone joining in and her little dance moves!

Amelie at 3 Months

She has definitely surpassed the baby! She's still a little thing, weighing in at 9 lb. 10 oz 2 weeks ago. She will actually be 3 months tomorrow, but we will be at the Happiest Place on Earth!

Piano Lessons

Abbi has been begging to take piano lessons. I mean she is in tears begging for lessons! Anyone know a teacher that will take a 4 year old? She is very eager!

Sleepover

Abbi has been enkoying some fun sleepovers with her cousin Kami. I thought this picture was sweet:

Savior of the World

I took Abbi on a date to see Savior of the World. I think I enjoyed it a little more than she did, but the part she loved was going back stage and seeing the baby lambs. Her preschool teacher Miss Cathi was the backstage manager for the production so she let us have a little peek. They were so sweet!

Smiley Girl

This girl has been smiling all over the place! She is going to be my social butterfly I think. She was smiling and laughing and cooing to her doctor a few days ago, until she got her shots, then it was all screams! She is such a joy though and Abbi and Jackson just love her!
