We're Still Alive!

Ok, So Jackson is about 2 and a half weeks old now and we are still alive! Yay! We are slowly adjusting to life with 2 kids and so far it's been a lot of work, but a lot of fun! Luckily my Mom and sister Allison are here to help so that makes it nice! Jackson is doing well. He now weighs 6 lbs. 15.9 oz. Probably 7 pounds by now. And he's grown a whole inch! Here are some pictures of our adventures from the last 2 weeks. Enjoy!

Action Jackson

Jackson was kind enough to open his eyes for more than 3 seconds today so that I could get some cute pictures of him. Isn't he sweet. He is the easiest baby. He just sleeps all the time and eats all the time too of course! Here they are...enjoy!

Hospital Pics

Here are some hospital pictures we just got. We forgot our camera, so these are ones from Paul's Mom's camera. She got there just in time. A few seconds after Jackson was born. Here they are.

He is Here!

On Friday we welcomed our new little son into the world! Jackson Paul Hunt was born May 30th at 8:33 pm. He weighed in at 6 pounds 3 oz. and was 18.5 inches long. Smaller than Abbi!
He is as perfect as can be! He has blond hair, which is weird, but so cute! He is healthy which makes me happy!
He was 3 weeks and one day early. I didn't even think I was really in labor and I almost didn't go to the hospital. I wasn't really packed and we totally forgot the camera! I thought for sure they'd send me home, but he is here, so obviously they didn't! Luckily Paul's mom walked in about 5 seconds after he was born with a camera so we do have proof that he's been born! We got to the hospital around 6pm and he was born 2 and a half hours later, so it went pretty quickly. I barely got an epidural 15 minutes before he came. I was dilated to a 9.5 and already pushing by the time they gave it to me, but I swore I wouldn't let him out until they gave it to me! And Im so glad I waited, it was much more enjoyable in the end. I don't know how people do it naturally. The most painful thing in the world I've ever experienced!
I am just glad that Paul made it back home in time! I picked him up at the airport Thursday night an less than 24 hours later we were in the hospital. Poor guy was so jetlagged and is now jetlagged and sleep deprived, but he's coping well.
Abbi is liking having the "baby" around. Every time she sees him, she says "baby" but she doesn't really like to touch him or for me to hold him for too long!
Anyways, sorry this post is really long, but here are some pictures of our newest family member!

We Made It!

Well, we finally made it back to California! Not sure where my camera is right now, so I haven't taken any pictures of the house. I don't think I would if I could though, It's still a disorganized disaster! But its coming along slowly, but surely. Here is a picture of Abbi from a few days ago. She is getting so big! Im a few weeks away from delivery. Paul is out of town for the next week or so, so hopefully I can hold out till then!

Paul's Trip to Japan

I was working in Japan for a week and though I spent most of my time training people, at the end of the week I finally had a chance to see some of the sights. While in Japan, I stayed at the Yakota AirForce Base outside of Tokyo where I enjoyed watching C-130s taking off all day and night. While site seeing, I took the train through Tokyo to Kamakura and visited the Hase-Dera Temple and Daibatsu - The Great Buddah. These were a short walk from each other. From Kamakura I took a train to Katase, where I then walked across the bridge to Enoshima Island. Enoshima is a small island that is basically a large hill off the coast of Japan. On the way up the hill, you pass through a little Japanese market, as well as multiple shrines, eventually reaching a lighthouse on top of the island. There was a fantastic view from the top of the lighthouse of the Japanese coastline and beaches. Any way, I had about 8 hours to do sightseeing and here are some of the pictures of what I saw.

Butterflies!

Today I took Abbi to see the butterfly exhibit at the National Museum of Natural History. You can go inside this butterfly house and butterflies fly around you and land on you. It was really neat. I forgot the camera, but here's what it looks like. We had a lot of fun. Abbi wasn't sure about the "flies" at first, but she liked them after a few minutes. She actually grabbed one by the wings and it flew away. That scared her. It was really cute.
